Norland Educare Research Journal - An international journal on home-based childcare

Norland (2023) Norland Educare Research Journal - An international journal on home-based childcare. Norland Educare Research Journal, 1 (1): 11. pp. 1-2. ISSN 2976-7199

Abstract

An exciting new publication that exclusively focuses on issues pertaining to home-based educare. Grounded in the work of researchers and practitioners in the field, the Norland Educare Research Journal is intended to bring together existing research on home-based educare and, at the same time, encourage further knowledge production. Its scope is to challenge established early childhood discourses, practices and policies, and to construct situated knowledge on home-based educare that is of global relevance and local significance. The journal aims to provide multiple perspectives and alternative views, broadening the knowledge on home-based professional practices, policies and workforce training. We are particularly interested in disseminating learning stories co-constructed by practitioners, policymakers, researchers and caregivers. As we launch the journal, we wish to be aspirational, creative and innovative, while maintaining the rigour required in published research.
